Group: Sue, Sarah, Claire, Bob and Dawn.
Written by Bob with additions by Sue.
Commenced in Dane John Gardens.
Initial look around the castle.
got the impression of a woman in an old-fashioned dress (very wide at
the bottom where it touched the ground) stood in the left-hand corner
opposite the bench but he did wonder if this had been suggested by
something he had seen on television the night before?
We moved to the nearby churchyard.
To the side of the church, a road/track appears to cut through what may have once been part of the churchyard.
Sarah didn't like this area, it made her "head spin" and she felt sick.
wasn't keen on this area either. On the initial visit, she had felt a
sense of horror and depression which probably related to this being the
route condemned prisoners would have taken to the gallows. To her, it was as though the building had been witness
to these events and was in a state of grief.
Sue was also getting these same feelings this time and also a sense of illness which would have been accompanied by a bad smell.
was picking-up on a man in his early forties, he had sores on his face
and head, and was wearing torn, filthy clothing. As well as this man,
there seemed to be many others in pain and suffering which made her
wonder if this was related to "The Plague" or another epidemic of some
sort. Possibly the victims had been buried or burnt here?
Sarah felt the atmosphere worsened as you turned off this track and headed towards the castle, to which Sue and Dawn agreed.
We moved to an alley behind a former commercial property which Claire had personal knowledge about.
Sarah and Dawn all remarked that that they didn't like this area and
felt it could be very active, so we decided to return here later after
We returned to the alley but this area now felt totally flat.
entering through the churchyard gate and back onto the track, Sue, Dawn
and Sarah all remarked how the atmosphere had changed, Dawn described
it as being "very heavy".
Sue indicated she had got a headache as soon as she had entered.
we turned off the track towards the castle, Dawn described a feeling of
dread and the anticipation of what was about to happen - re: the
gallows which had been sited outside of the castle.
In a nearby park (a former graveyard), nothing was sensed.
remarked that she had experienced similar before where the gravestones
had been moved to the walls, these always seemed flat (in a spiritual
sense) to her.
We returned to the castle, as we approached the corner before the entrance, Dawn picked-up on the name "Jasper".
EVP session, halfway up the spiral staircase (pictured right) was
commenced but later examination of this recording revealed nothing
Dawn got the year "1428" and Sue remarked that the atmosphere seemed to be changing compared to earlier.
agreed, she sensed any activity would be concentrated near the wall
opposite to the bench, She described it, "as though something was poised
to come out".
Sarah moved to the centre of this wall.
After a few minutes she heard distinct footsteps on gravel despite no one moving around at that point.
Sue detected a "weird atmosphere" when she was stood near to the well shaft.

We left the castle and had a wander around various roads, side streets and the cathedral grounds.
Nothing to report.
